This bathroom in Brick, NJ was dated and visually enclosed, with dark beige finishes, a built-in tub, an older vanity, and a framed shower enclosure that made the space feel more traditional than the homeowners wanted.
The homeowners wanted a brighter, more relaxing bathroom with a modern shower, a freestanding tub, updated storage, and a cleaner overall appearance.
They requested a contemporary spa-inspired style—light, calm, and elegant—with white finishes, subtle pattern, clean lines, and modern black fixtures.
SQ Interior Design proposed replacing the dated tub and shower arrangement with a freestanding soaking tub and a spacious glass-enclosed shower, while coordinating the vanity, tile, fixtures, and lighting around a light, refined palette.
The finished bathroom feels brighter, more open, and distinctly spa-like. The freestanding tub, expansive glass shower, marble-look tile, streamlined vanity, and black fixtures work together.
