This Point Pleasant guest bathroom felt dated and enclosed, with a built-in whirlpool tub, heavily patterned tile, and a traditional layout that made the room feel smaller than it needed to be.
Homeowners wished to replace the oversized tub with a more practical, spacious shower while creating a brighter and more inviting bathroom for family and guests.
They wanted a distinctive coastal-inspired look with a fresh, sophisticated feel. Rich blue tiles, warm gold accents, and light neutral finishes were chosen to bring personality and a sense of relaxation to the space.
SQ Interior Design proposed rethinking the entire bathing area, replacing the tub with a large glass-enclosed shower and creating a strong focal point with patterned blue tile, a contrasting white tile feature, coordinated gold fixtures, and improved built-in storage.
The result is a dramatic transformation from a dated bath to a bright, stylish guest retreat. The spacious glass shower, bold blue tile, gold hardware, and carefully coordinated details give the room a fresh coastal character while making the space more functional and inviting.
